About
The castle's defensive tower. The tour focuses on the principate of Louis II and the Hundred Years' War, from the cellar to the terrace, via the guard room. The canon's house evokes the religious history of the château and its holy chapel.
A famous defense tower guarding the Château de Bourbon to the south, the tour focuses on the principate of Louis II and the Hundred Years' War, from the 13th-century cellar to the terrace overlooking the town, via the guard room. The tour is completed by a canonical house (MH. 16th c.), which provides an opportunity to explore the religious history of the château, the construction of the castral chapels (together constituting the Sainte Chapelle de Bourbon), and the life of the building after the duchy became part of the royal domain in 1532.
